Puzzle 1 - Easy

 

WHITE TO MOVE.

Black intends to capture White's pawn on f2 by Rook with a check. White must act fast! What should he do?

ANSWER:

White should capture f7 pawn by his Bishop which is a check with a simple idea of:

     White.           Black

1.  Bd5 -Bf7+     Rf8 - Rf7 (or King legal Move)

2. Rd7 x Rd2!   Winning the exchange!
